Bangladesh Ministry of Finance and UNDP delegation with ISSCAD Management

 

The Bangladesh Ministry of Finance and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) delegation paid a courtesy visit to the management of Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development (ISSCAD), Peking University in a bid to familiarize and build strong relationship with the Institute.

 

Prof. Fu Jun, the Academic Dean of ISSCAD, in his remarks said ISSCAD has both Master and PhD programmes with 48 pioneer students from 27 developing countries.  In addition, Prof. Fu stated that ISSCAD courses are painstakingly designed to improve analytical, intellectual and managerial skills of students, saying that students are expected to have exceptional world-view and exercise sound judgment all of which will improve their approach to policy making and execution.

 

He noted that the Institute looks forward to Bangladesh applicants from next academic session to further establish the cooperation between the Institute and Bangladesh.

 

In his remarks, the Bangladesh Senior Secretary, Economic Relations Division, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Mohammad Mejbahuddin agreed with Prof. Fu and observed that he will continue to relate with ISSCAD to foster strategic partnership and cooperation.
