7月8日，国家主席习近平向南南合作援助基金和南南合作与发展学院成立5周年致贺信。

习近平指出，5年来，南南合作援助基金积极支持发展中国家落实2030年可持续发展议程、应对人道危机、实现减贫和发展，南南合作与发展学院致力于分享中国和发展中国家治国理政经验，为广大发展中国家培养政府管理高端人才。基金和学院为推进南南合作发挥了重要作用。

习近平强调，中国愿同广大发展中国家一道，进一步释放南南合作潜力，共享发展机遇。希望南南合作援助基金继续帮助发展中国家实现可持续发展，南南合作与发展学院继续建好发展中国家高端人才培养基地和研究交流平台，为推动构建人类命运共同体作出更大贡献。

南南合作援助基金和南南合作与发展学院5周年纪念活动当日在北京举行，由国家国际发展合作署和商务部共同举办。

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday extended congratulations on the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund and the Institute of South-South Cooperation and Development.

Xi spoke highly of the important roles the fund and the Institute play in promoting South-South cooperation. He said the fund helps developing countries implement the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development while the Institute is dedicated to sharing China's successful experiences in governance with developing countries and providing capacity building programs for their senior government officials.

Xi said China is ready to work with developing countries to further explore the potentials of South-South cooperation and share development opportunities with them. 

He said he hopes the fund will continue facilitating sustainable development in developing countries and the institute will continue to provide capacity building and exchanges platform for top talents in developing countries, thereby making their contributions for the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
